Extruded Products

We are able to offer a full range of extruded and drawn products, which cover a broad spectrum of dimensions, hard and semi-hard alloys and tempers.

Extruded bars

With a diameter from 10 mm to 305 mm for varied applications such as landing gear or hydraulic distributors. More than 1,000 shapes are available.

Extrusions

From 0.1 kg/m up to 30 kg/m with lengths of up to 22 m

Extruded tubes and extruded drawn tubes

from 2 mm OD up to 160 mm OD, with wall thicknesses from 0.2 mm to 30 mm

New Extrusion Alloys

New alloys and tempers were developed by Alcan Global Aerospace for specific applications, including

  • 7340 alloy for high-strength stiffeners and seat tracks
  • 6056 weldable alloy which can be used with 6056/6156 sheets
  • 2196 Al-Li alloy, with high strength and elastic modulus but low density, for floor beams, seat tracks, welded applications and wing stringers
  • 2027 alloy with higher strength-damage tolerance properties than incumbent 2024 alloy
